Motorola Invite Android to AT&T

AT & T announced today that the first Android device, Motorola Backflip, will be available on the network starting March 7. In January, AT & T announced plans big Android, promising five devices in the first half of this year.

Motorola phones Motoblur include interface, which integrates closely with users of social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. It also offers an interesting new feature called Backtrack, which uses an additional touch panel, the device can be accessed when folded open, to allow users to scroll through the website without blocking the screen with the tips of their fingers.

Motorola recently innovation for smart phone interface is very impressive, although I personally use Motoblur shows that sometimes interrupt bugginess overall good user experience. For example, the connection to the social network I regularly break, which requires me to reboot to fix the problem. Motorola is a major investment in the interface, but – even ran an ad for Motoblur during the Super Bowl.

It is unclear how the cost will be Backflip head-to-head with the iPhone, but Nokia may be happy to get another chance to make a big entry into the market. The momentum built by the company’s Android mobile phone recently, the Droid (Verizon) and Cliq (T-Mobile), damaged by the Google introduction Nexus One.

With a two-year contract, it will cost $ 199.99 Backflip, although AT & T also offers $ 100 rebate to sweeten the deal. With rebate, it makes Backflip price compared to that of the iPhone 3G.
